Walk around historic Oxford

Join us for a relaxed but fact filled walk around the City the day after Oxford celebrates its 20th Anniversary Pride!

To help Oxford celebrate this amazing milestone OutdoorLads is one of the Anniversary Supporters.  We are laying on a number of events to help Oxford celebrate!  If you've not been before or just want to come back, Oxford is a beautiful city and easily accessible so why not attend one or all the events, making a mini break of it.

After a couple of busy pride days join us for a relaxed walk around the historic City of Oxford.  We'll see the castle, visit one of the older colleges, see the Oxford Union where Kermit the Frog, Michael Jackson the Cheeky Girls and Mother Theresa addressed the students (and what a night that was!).

We'll pass the Ashmolean Museum - whose treasures include the jewel made for King Alfred, Elizabeth I's glove, Lawrence of Arabia's robes, and Pocahontas's dad's cape. Learn how Liz Taylor and Richard Burton took the city by storm in the 1960s, before we pop into the Bodleian Library to see the Divinity School (location for the Hogwarts Infirmary in Harry Potter).

So, if you want to learn about film stars, royals, English Civil War battles, martyred saints, and just what rowers do to give each other the 'Bumps' join us on this fascinating walk around Oxford

We will end the walk at a suitable hostelry so that we can get some food or just have a drink.

Fancy a weekend break?

If this is your first ODL event, you should check out the information designed specifically for you on the My First Event page on the ODL websiteIf you have any other questions you can send a message to the leader
