Getting Started: Pay As You Go Membership
When you first join OutdoorLads, you automatically become a Pay As You Go (PAYG) Member. To help you discover our activities, we'll add two coupons to your account (you'll find them under My Account > Coupons). You can use these coupons to attend up to two events for free or at a reduced cost.
If you enjoy your initial experiences and want to dive deeper into what OutdoorLads offers, you can absolutely continue attending events as a PAYG member. However, for even greater value and exclusive perks, we recommend upgrading to a Full Membership.

Full Membership unlocks significant benefits, helping you save money and make the most of your OutdoorLads adventures:
- Free Walks & Cycling Events: Enjoy unlimited access to all our fantastic walking and cycling events without any additional per-event fees. (PAYG Members typically pay £12.50 per event for these).
- Reduced Prices on Residential Events: Get lower prices on our popular hostel and camping events, saving you around £20 on a typical two-night trip compared to PAYG Members.
- Retail Partner Savings: Access exclusive discounts with our various retail partners, helping you save on outdoor gear and more.
Full Membership is £65 per year. We're also proud to offer a Concession Membership for just £13 per year (you'll need to be logged in to see if you're eligible).

Important information

- The Direct Debit option is not available to Concession Memberships.
- We don't send reminders before payments are due, so remember to add payment dates to your calendar once you receive the Direct Debit mandate
The Guarantee is offered by all banks and building societies that accept instructions to pay Direct Debits.
If there are any changes to the amount, date or frequency of your Direct Debit, OutdoorLads will notify you (normally 10 working days) in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed.
If you request us to collect a payment, confirmation of the amount and date will be given to you at the time of the request.
If an error is made in the payment of your Direct Debit, by the organisation or your bank or building society, you are entitled to a full and immediate refund of the amount paid from your bank or building society.
If you receive a refund you are not entitled to, you must pay it back when the organisation asks you to.
You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by simply contacting your bank or building society. Written confirmation may be required. Please also notify the organisation.

In common with other organisations, OutdoorLads will notify you of a pending Direct Debit payment if the amount of the payment is changing. If the amount is unchanged, we do not notify you of pending renewal payment. It is your responsibility to manage and monitor your Direct Debit payments. You can download an app here which will enable you to track any or all of your Direct Debits and notify you when payments are due to be taken.
If you pay for your membership by Direct Debit these are the Ts&Cs
The first year discount offer, and t-shirt are only available the first time you sign up to pay your OutdoorLads annual membership by Direct Debit.
The first year discount is applied to the first payment made by Direct Debit, subsequent payments are at the standard membership price in place at the time.
The first year discount and or the price of membership may change from time to time.
Direct Debit payments are processed on the 1st of the month or the next working day and you will receive email confirmation from us regarding your payment plan and the date on which your annual payments will be taken. We aim to process new Direct Debit requests within 2 working days.
It is your responsibility to manage any Direct Debit payments that you set up. If you wish to cancel your Direct Debit at any time, please inform you bank. They will then advise us that you have cancelled the future payments and we will then set your Full Membership to expire at the end of the period for which you have paid. Once your Full Membership expires, you will become a Pay As You Go Member.
OutdoorLads reserves the right to withdraw any offers for joining the Direct Debit scheme at any time.

If an annual Direct Debit isn't for you, you can purchase a one-off fixed term Membership. You can add one of the items below to your basket, and proceed to the checkout. Please note that this option does not come with the 20% discount or the free t-shirt.
