We will have a short road section but will quickly go off road as we climb up to just below the summit of Win Hill. Following the ridgeline as it undulates past Hope Cross, we eventually hit the first of the three big descents. You can either pick the rocky loose main track or the flowing single track that runs next to it as it descends…

From there we cross the snake and climb (steeply to start with) past Rowlee Farm to Lockerbrook Farm.  Now for the second of our three descents, initially fast and flowing, it steepens shortly after we enter the trees eventually kicking us out next to the Derwent reservoir. A quick ride takes us to Fairholmes carpark.

We then have an option:-

From Fairholmes car park and after a few kilometers along the side of Ladybower we climb, but it's rather steep at the start (we will all end up pushing), but this soon eases to a nice technical climb to Whinstone Lee Toor. The stunning views over Ladybower, along with the brilliant fast moorland descent, make the slog up the hill more than worth it!

However if we prefer an easier option we simply following the trail along the side of Ladybower and return to the cars,

N.B.: This event maybe cancelled if the weather or local conditions are bad.
