This event is part of The Big SPRING CLIMB 2020; our weekend of indoor climbing and bouldering in Manchester - check out the main event page for more information on what else is going on!

On the Sunday we'll be climbing at Awesome Walls - with it's famous 23.5m Tall Walls  - one of the highest artificial climbing walls in England!!

Fall Training Workshop (2:30pm)

Fear of Falling holding you back your progress on lead climbs? Then this professionally coached session will develop your technique and confidence to fall properly, to get comfortable with safely falling, being caught with the rope and your harness by your belayer.

Working with two professional coaches provided by the climbing centre we'll help you build your confidence on falling on lead climb routes with this 90minute group coaching session (1:4 Instructor : Climber ratio) specially organised for the OutdoorLads big Spring Climb. The session will be tailored to the experience of the group - but ideally you should be climbing Grade 6a on lead and be a confident belayer.

What will it cost?  The cost of this event covers the professional coaching session only, you will still need to pay the entry fee to the centre when you arrive (and of course you're welcome to continue climbing after the coaching session). Awesome Walls are very generously offering members of Outdoorlads a discounted entry rate of just £8 for the day (including shoe hire), which you will need to pay this directly to the centre when you arrive. Please see the main climbing event page for more details or see the venue information below and if you haven't been to the an Awesome Walls Centre before it is advisable to register before attending to save time checking in through their website.
