Winter Tuesday Trek - Spofforth
6 people attending
14 places left
Another lovely midweek day out from Spofforth. The castle where we meet is now in ruins. It dates from the 14th/15th century. It was a fortified manor house, owned by the Percy family.
The walk is mostly along lanes and through woodlands. The total distance will be seven to eight miles. It will be at an amiable pace, time to look at anything interesting along the way, whether its wildlife or other things.
IMPORTANT! - Participation Statement

What to bring
Rucksack: a day sack large enough to carry a packed lunch and spare layers of clothing.
Footwear: A robust pair of hiking boots, preferably waterproof.
