The western coast of the Lake District is somewhere you may not end up going for a typical weekend, sure it is a little further to drive but that makes it even more beautiful.

Within a short drive we could be in Wasdale enjoying Yewbarrow, The Screes or even Great Gable and Kirk Fell.  Equally close is Eskdale which is a great vantage point for Scafell and the surrounding mountains.

But if you fancy something a little less mountain but just as exhilarating, there is the recogniseable Black Coombe - visible from the M6 as you head north when the Lake District comes into view.  Right on the coast, this hill (and its only just a hill by a matter of metres) offers stunning views out to the Irish Sea and south across the Furness Peninsula.

Our site for the weekend has fairly level grass with access to electricity and water from the nearby tap and access to Elsan/Chemical Loo Disposal. The field will be shared by tents and caravans on our event, making it a real great get together.

For food and drink, obviously you can cook on site but there is a pub nearby, approx 1 mile walk down the lane.  A head torch will be needed for coming back late on as the lane is dark....and scary!! haha

If you are sharing your tent or caravan then please let us know, as this means we can increase numbers accordingly. Please note that prices are per person, so if there are two of you in a caravan, each will need to have booked a space.

Dogs: Oh and excitingly, dogs are welcome on the site as long as they are well behaved.
