Portland, lying at the end of a causeway attached to Dorset's internationally famous Chesil Beach, is an island shrouded in history, Olympic sailing medals and myths.
With Tudor fortresses, ancient quarries and the site of the sinking of the Spanish armada, this Isle is steeped in history. Portland is at the mid point of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and have some beautiful walking, spectacular climbing and sightseeing.
The hostel, sitting high up on Castle Road offers spectacular views across Lyme Bay and long Chesil Beach. It is a comfortable and quiet building, with plenty of space to spread out and relax. Why not have a trip down to the Dorset coast for this lovely early March escape.

What to bring
You hardly need anything special for a hostel event. Your standard day walking kit for the Saturday and some comfy clothes for the hostel, along with a wash kit and perhaps a torch to help you find your way to bed!
Food & drink
The event cost includes breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, as well as dinner on Saturday and tea/coffee throughout the weekend. Dinner on Friday night will be a collaborative buffet.
You will need to supply your own packed lunch and there is no bar, so you will need to bring any other drinks you might like.
