A Spectacular Autumnal Walking and Picnic Event

Join Andy and OutdoorLads for a Saturday strolll around a trio of reservoirs! This walk will take us around all three large reservoirs: Entwistle, Wayoh and Jumbles.

There will be a mixture of terrains, starting with a relatively leisurely flat walk around Entwistle, before the more challenging Wayoh and Jumbles, being completed in one lengthy loop.

We will stop off for a short while to enjoy Jumbles and eat lunch in the designated seated picnic area. There is also a cafe here which serves a variety of warm and cold meals and ice cream.

There will also be time for coffee breaks and photo opportunities throughout the day.

After passing the water plantation on Wayoh on our home stretch, we will walk along the hillside paths – uphill, before reaching the final stretch of the walk which takes us back via the ‘Strawbury Duck’ Country Inn, where we can stop off for refreshments or a homecooked meal before heading down the path back to the car park.

The Strawbury Duck is approximately 5 minutes walk from the car park. See here for more details.

Free parking.

The nearest train station is Entwistle. It is only a short walk from here to the starting point.

Well-behaved, socialised and under-control dogs are welcome on this event.

Dogs must be kept on a lead whenever this is signposted and whenever we are in the vicinity of livestock, and at the event leader's request. It's a good idea to check what the route may be like with the event leader before booking to find out more about the potential suitability of the walk for dogs.

Please message the event leader if you have any questions prior to the event.
