Toys Hill Circular Walk on Sunday, 1st March

Sundays are always a favourite day for me to get out and about. It's a great way to clear the head, and start the week on the right footing. So what better way to start the week, and a new month, than with a 12-mile circular walk with Outloorlads?
Toys Hill is one of the highest points in the South East of England. Our route includes the surrounds to Chartwell, the country house of Sir Winston Churchill which is now in the custody of the National Trust. Our route skirts around Chartwell so if we have time and the inclination, we could stop for a cuppa and a brief nosey around.
We will continue around Toys Hill, through the woodlands, and keeping clear of the cyclists who like the challenge which the hill brings them. If there's good weather on the day, we'll have a chance to take in the views of the countryside leading towards Ashdown Forest.
For anyone interested in viewing the route, please see this link.
What to bring
Items that you should think about bringing with you: hat, waterproof jacket/outer layer, mid layer, base layer, gloves, walking trousers, gaiters (as it could be muddy), boots with comfortable walking socks, a rucksack.
Food & drink
On the route out of Edenbridge Town, there are a few facilities to buy any last-minute supplies for the day ahead. There's a Gregg's and a petrol station within easy reach. During the walk, we will find somewhere to stop in the countryside for lunch therefore I suggest you bring with you all the food and drink for the entire walk with you to avoid any disappointment!
