Join us on this fantastic road ride, specially tailored to take in the highlights of the White Peak. We'll head down the spectacular gorge at Winnats, then through the cool tunnels of the Monsal Trail, a former railway line (suitable for road bikes). We'll take in a short stretch of the Tissington Trail too, then up the amazing Longdale and back to Buxton.

Pace and Terrain
On road, with a couple of steep climbs. There are a couple of off road sections on very firm, well made trails that are fine even on 25Cs. The event pace and route is designed for road bikes rather than hybrids.
You do need reasonable personal fitness for this event, however the day is intended to be an outing rather than an endurance test. We will stop for slower riders to catch up whilst going faster in between stops to allow them to develop their technique and fitness. Broadly, anyone who has recently cycled over 30 miles and who has tackled some steep hills without too much difficulty will be able to complete this ride.
What to bring
Road bikes or very lightweight hybrids only please
Food & drink
Bring a small packed lunch and plenty of water and snacks, however we will try to stop in a cafe or pub at lunchtime (likely in Tideswell)
