This walk passes some delightful rural scenery and is very accessible by train from London and Exeter starting in the little known Vale of Wardour. It passes through ancient forests, meadows, farmland and up onto chalk downland. On the way we will pass by the remains of three castles, one is open for viewing and we will pause for up to 45 mins so those that wish can take a look (Admission £5.40) http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/old-wardour-castle/
