Enjoy Surrey Hills in a counter-clockwise 47 km circular ride from Dorking.
We will head out of Dorking to the north and soon turn westwards to traverse rolling, wooded lanes. Turning south, we will head steeply downhill to Shere, and towards Winterfold. Turning eastwards through the forest, we will head into the valley at Peaslake and then along to Leith Hill. We will cruise down Leith Hill in the opposite direction to the usual westwards route, and then soon head back north to Dorking.
What to bring
A helmet is mandatory and must be worn while riding at all times, and anyone without one will not be permitted to start.
Please also ensure you bring: spare tube; pump; puncture repair kit; and wet weather gear.
Food & drink
Please bring plenty of water, snacks and energy bars or gels. We will stop for lunch at a suitable midway point, but there is no guarantee of finding a shop or cafe to buy it from, so please bring a packed lunch.
