Substantial total ascent and steep ground place this walk in the Very Difficult category - 14km, 9hrs, 1720m total ascent.

Two classic mountains, by far the highest in the area and with none higher to the South in all of the UK.

From Inverlochlarig we'll climb steeply to the North, straight from the car park, before easing off onto the named top of Stob Invercarnaig. From there we'll climb more gently along a distinctive broad ridge to a further named top of Stob Corrie an Lochain (1068m) and our first Munro peak, Stob Binnein (1165m), taking in the stunning views that these high peaks allow.

Then on to Ben More (1174m), descending first to the low col between our two peaks and then regaining height for our second Munro summit. More view opportunities here with Stob Binnein being by far the most impressive peak in the area.

We'll then retrace our steps to complete the walk, re-climbing Stob Binnein as we go.

Be aware that this will be a long day and a challenging route in terms of stamina and fitness, the total ascent on this event will be 1720m or one and a quarter Ben Nevises. Please carefully assess your suitability for this event before signing up and contact the event leader if you are in any doubt.

Please see What to Bring for the essentials on this event.
