Social Ride to the Pink Picnic

The ride is suitable for all bikes and abilities, beginners are especially welcome. The easy paced A to B route ends at The Pink Picnic - Salford’s annual Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans & Non-binary, plus pride celebration. The picnic takes place in Peel Park, Salford and is organised and delivered by Salford Pride.
Please remember to bring a lock for your bike if you will be staying for the picnic. We will not be able to take bikes into the event space.
Tickets are currently on sale via the Buy Tickets link and are selling fast. To avoid disappointment, get your tickets as soon as you can. General entry tickets start from £5 (plus booking fee).
Entry Restrictions:
- Alcohol is not permitted to be brought into The Pink Picnic, affordable alcohol options will be available from vendors on site.
- No trolleys, suitcases or carts to be brought on site. Bags or coolers need to be smaller than 50cmx50cmx50cm.
- Food and soft drinks are permitted to be brought into the event space as long as they are not in single-use packaging, including crisp or sweet plastic foil packaging.
- Please ensure to bring food in reasonable containers such as a pack lunch box or Tupperware. Soft drinks need to be in cans, cartons or a reusable bottles.
IMPORTANT! - Participation Statement
You MUST complete the Cycling Participation Statement in addition to booking your event space before attending a cycling event.

What to bring
Bike: any well maintained bike, road (ideally with 28C + tyres), MTB, hybrid, folding, electric. There's the option of hiring a Bee Network bike if you don't want to bring your own.
Clothing: Optional
Helmet: OutdoorLads requires you to wear one
Footwear: suitable for your bike and pedals
Storage: Back pack or panniers to carry all your clothes, snacks, equipment, etc.
Punctures: spare inner tube, bike tyre pump and tyre levers
Tools: any special tools that your bike needs
Sun cream: take care, even on overcast days
Mobile Phone: keep it in a waterproof bag for use in emergencies
Food & drink
Bring non-alcoholic drinks, a picnic lunch, snacks etc if you want them. There are various options for purchasing food and drink at the pink picnic, or from nearby shops outside the event space (the nearest shop is a 5-10 minute cycle away from the site).
Please note alcoholic drinks cannot be taken into the event, but can be purchased there.
