Snowdon Weekend

Spend a weekend with us in the mountains of Snowdonia at the foot of Wales' highest peak, Mount Snowdon. Rising to 1085m from immediately behind our accommodation, this classic mountain experience offers a sense of adventure and achievement within the capability of most regular hill walkers. The main event for the weekend will be to summit Snowdon via the Ranger Path, which is roughly a 12-13km round trip.
Depending on leader availability, there may also be the option of a lower level walk, plus a further walk on the Sunday morning.
We will be spending the weekend at YHA Snowdon Ranger. As the name suggests, this hostel sits right at the start of the Ranger Path, on the western side of the mountain, between Caernarfon and Beddgelert. This is a traditional hostel, with a mix of dorms and smaller rooms. We will cook, eat and socialise together in the hostel after our day out in the mountains, and attendees will be asked to help out with various tasks and chores.
We have lots of OutdoorLads members who have applied to become hostel leaders, so we will be using this event as an opportunity to assess one of them: Rich will be taking on most of the leadership tasks during the event, under Mark's watchful eye ;)
Dogs: This event is not suitable for dogs.
