This walk is one of the best to see great views of Snowdon, Elidir and the Glyderau. In the winter, the mountain and some of the terrain we cross are fanastic for 'sledging' and give the opportunity for some impressive views of the snowy peaks.

Moel Elio is 726 m, a fairly easy mountain to walk up, comprising grassy moorland and established paths. After a short stop to take in the views off the top of Moel Elio, we will continue down to Foel Gron and then Foel Goch.  Depending on progress and weather we can either head back or continue on to Moel Cyngorhion, the final peak of the day before heading back down to Llanberis.

There are no exposed rocky ridges or clifs on this walk. However, there are some steep sections and the walk involves several ascents and decents which can be strenuous.

Due to the relatively flat areas of the mountain, it can be prone to deep snow fall, so the route may be ammended accordingly. Some areas of the mountian will be great for a bit of sledging !
