THE SETTLE LOOP

The Settle Loop was the first section of the Pennine Bridleway to be opened in the Yorkshire Dales.  The Ride takes us on a variety of tracks including sections of gravel, natural grassland and rocky limestone.  

Enjoying some great views out over the southern section of the Dales, this deceptively short short route involves a big climb out of Settle initially (so expect to do some hard work) but you are soon rewarded by the rest of the looping ride which is almost entirely downhill. 

A fast and furious decent will see us arrive back at the Market Centre in plenty of time to have lunch before doing it all again.......

Yes that's right, this route is so good we're doing it twice!  Once before lunch and once after.  The plan is to meet at the Naked Man Cafe for a quick brew before heading off.  Returning to the cafe for lunchtime, we'll eat in the vicinity before heading off to do a second loop, believe me, you will want to do the second loop once you've enjoyed the first.
