A 3-day cycling adventure over the bank holiday weekend from urban Wolverhampton to the scenic Welsh coast of Aberystwyth.  The route follows National Route 81 which includes; Lôn Cambria, a scenic route that crosses the heart of beautiful Mid Wales through the Cambrian mountains between Shrewsbury and Aberystwyth.  You can read about the route on the Sustrans website here.

Day 1 takes us from Wolverhampton through Staffordshire countryside and then right across Shropshire, including through Shrewsbury.  We will stop for an initial cup of tea at Cosford RAF museum, lunch around Shrewsbury before the final slog into Welshpool.

If you are joining us for the day, there are train stations at either end of the route and multiple stations along the route.

You can see a map of the entire 3 day route here and the day 1 route here.

If you are completing the entire route, you will need to carry everything you need for the three days. Accommodation is to be arranged individually.  Accommodation in Welshpool is rare, your leader is staying at the Talbot Inn in Berriew.

If you have queries regarding fitness or kit, contact the leader.
