A mountain weekend

Join us for an exploration of one of the more remote, and wilder, parts of the British mainland.

Knoydart is accessible only by foot or ferry, the local pub is well known as probably the most remote mainland pub in the country, plus it's now a community run enterprise.

We are staying for three nights which means two full days, when the days are longest, to get up the hills in this difficult to access area for there are three Munros to bag if you're on a mission.

We are staying in a private estate-owned bothy, which is basic accommodation. We have running water, a gas cooker and toilet but that's the limit of the luxuries! The bothy is open plan with an upstairs sleeping platform, bring your sleeping bag and mat and it's probably a good idea to pack ear plugs. Also be prepared to carry in a share of the food for the weekend.

Our plan is to eat out at The Old Forge in Inverie one night, the event price includes the cost of the meal at the bothy but not the meal out, so don't lose your wallet.

Dogs: Sorry, due to the close confines of the accommodation, this event is not suitable for dogs.
