This walk is approximately 7-8 miles.
A Friday walk to get your weekend started in the right frame of mind.
A steady walk through beautiful countryside and some woodland.
It can be very muddy in places at this time of year, depending on the weather, so it's strongly advisable to wear some suitable walking boots.
There's a cafe next to the castle should you wish to have a coffee before we set off (please note we set off at the start time), or tea/coffee and cake after the walk.
Dogs are welcome on the walk, but please abide by the Countryside Code.

What to bring
This is a walk in the countryside, and at the mercy of the British weather....
It is strongly advisable to wear appropriate clothing for walking in the countryside and good sturdy waterproof footwear for muddy and wet conditions.
The following are recommended.....
- Waterproof coat
- Gloves
- Hat (for rain/wind/sun protection)
- Waterproof trousers are beneficial
- Good footwear designed for walking in various outdoor terrains
Food & drink
Bring refreshments and food should you wish to have something when we stop for a tea break and lunch.
It is strongly advisable to bring food as you may not be able to get any in the village.
Bring water to ensure you remain hydrated, especially in hot weather)
