Offa's Dyke Path and Bal Mawr

8 places left
Starting from Llanthony, we will climb to the east up to meet the Offa's Dyke path up on the hill ridge where we will turn North West to follow the ridge to east of Capel-y-ffin. At this point we will descend into the valley, travel through Capel-y-ffin and then turn south to climb up onto the opposing ridge, which we will follow south east to Bal Mawr at 607m. From here we will descent off the hills back to the cars in Llantony.
Walk distance is likely to be around 20km with around 750m of total ascent throughout the day.
What to bring
We'll be out in late December, so it'll be important for you to bring the following:
- Waterproof trousers
- Waterproof jacket
- Warm spare clothes
Food & drink
We'll be out in the hills for the whole day, so it will be important for you to bring your own packed lunch and water for the day (I would suggest a minimum of 2 ltrs).
