North Wales is not just all about mountains - we also have a beautiful coastline with rolling countryside (from where you can look at the mountains if you really want to!).

Our walk begins in the busy seaside town of Rhyl, but we soon leave the caravans and chip shops behind as we make our way along the North Wales Path beside the River Clwyd towards Rhuddlan Castle. The castle itself is closed for the season, but we nevertheless get great views of it as we cross the bridge into town.

We will rejoin the North Wales Path to Dyserth, where we discover two points of interest. Our firt stop is the Dyserth Waterfall (50p entrance fee), following which we will head up-hill to the top of Graig Fawr (153m), our highest point of the day, for amazing views (weather permitting) of the coastline and the countryside beyond.

Our penultimate leg is again via the North Wales Path, this time heading back towards the coast and the town of Prestatyn. Our route takes us right through the town and down to the seafront, which we will then follow back to Rhyl.

There will be an optional pub or cafe stop near the end of the walk.
