Madrileno Alpine Marathon (and 10k)

Madrid Mountain Marathon (also 10k) in Sierra de Guadarrama just North of Madrid.

TRAINING:

Anyone who can walk can start training now for a marathon - if you're not convinced then you can enter the 10k. 

Within ODL there are a few experienced runners, if you'd like to try a mountain marathon we're happy to help.. they'll be some bigger training runs leading up to the envent too.

We aim to meet up in Madrid on the from Thursday evening - allowing for a day sightseeing on the Friday.   We'll travel to Cercedilla, 40km North of Madrid on Saturday morning - ready for marathon registration and / or 10k in the early evening.

There's 2 distances - full marathon - 8.30am Sunday 9 June and a 10k - 6pm Saturday 8 June

Please note that you will need to book and pay for your own flights, accommodation and all other expenses separately. More information on this will be provided soon on this page. However in the meantime please contact the event leader before booking as the aim is to co-ordinate this as a group. 

There are good direct flights from UK ot Madrid - we'll co-orodinate arrivals in due course.

We'll book hostel / Airbnb budget acomodation in due course.
