Take a flat path (with a few steps), a world famous river, throw in some distance for a challenge and the chance to cross the river 16 (at least...) times on iconic bridges, and I'd say you got yourself a pretty awesome walk!

You can see the route here, but read below too ;)

We will follow the Thames Path, crossing bank every time we pass a pedestrian bridge. Normally walked from Putney Bridge to Tower Bridge, we will go the other way around: starting with Tower Bridge as our very first crossing, we keep a good hearty pace walking upstream, surviving the crowds in Southbank and crossing all the bridges we can up to Putney.

The event is planned to end in Putney Bridge station after some 20-25km of walking (13-15 miles). Depending on time, enthusiasm and soreness of feet, we will discuss the option of continuing even further along (with the beautiful Hammermisth Bridge waiting for us further upstream).

As it is a long hike and there will be stops for photos and shenanigans we will need to keep a good pace when walking. Flat paved terrain will help, crowds of tourists not so much. Please bring a packed lunch.
