POSTPONED - Litter Picking on the Quays - 25th April 2020
6 people attending
9 places left
If you have been kayaking or SUP or even walked around Salford Quays you might have noticed the litter, the drink cans rolling under the bushes, the crisp packets discarded, the sweet wrappers tossed aside.
What is more sad is the floating litter that collects at the dockside and then the poor aquatic life and birds that call this area their home - having to navigate through it all.
This OutdoorLads litter pick aims to give something back to the world by doing a community tidy up around the Quays starting from outside the Helly Hansen watersports centre.
Whilst this is a follow on activity to Kayaking on the Quays - you don't need to have attended the kayak event before hand - all are welcome...!!
All equipment will be provided including litter pickers, bags, high viz jacket and gloves - we just need you to volunteer an hour or so and come and pick litter. The litter picking will be on dry land so you don't need to worry about getting wet.
Free tea and coffee will be provided to all attendees. This is event is sponsored by Clean Team Prestwich, https://www.cleanteamprestwich.org
