Lanark to Glasgow Road Cycle

Come for a 36 mile road cycle down from Lanark (and New Lanark for those of you wishing to visit) to Glasgow along back roads and cycle paths.
This generally undulating route will have one or two steep climbs trending down to Glasgow. Check it out here (note: this route shows from Carstairs but due to no trains, we will be starting from Lanark)
The beauty of this route is that there are railway stations all the way to cover all eventualities. This will be a social cycle though you should be able to cycle at least 25 miles comfortably
People coming from Edinburgh are advised to get the 08:30 or 09:00 from Waverley to Glasgow Queen St and change to Glasgow Central for the 10:20 to Lanark for a 11:15 arrival. Be warned that due to engineering work, this is the only train that will get you there on time! If you miss it, you will have to take a bus which may not take your bike!!
