Kendal Mountain Festival

Join us for the weekend, or just the day, as ODL heads to Kendal Mountain Festival!!

Thousands of outdoor enthusiasts plus media industry specialists, athletes, top brands & equipment manufacturers, artists, photographers, adventurers, explorers and inspirational speakers gather every year to share adventures and celebrate the very best in outdoor and adventure sports culture. 

With its (almost) countless film screenings, live talks and demos, not to mention the bars and food at "basecamp", Kendal Mountain Festival is a real highlight of the calendar (well, the calendar of those who like mountains and adventure), and is the perfect inspiration for planning adventures over winter and the coming year!

Tickets will need to be bought directly from the event organisers - www.mountainfest.co.uk - and there are several options, from weekend passes to single-day film tickets, so have a look at the programme and see what suits you best. We usually organise ourselves when we get there, and nominate one of the locations (usually the bar) to be the meeting hub in between films/talks.

There will be a contingent taking part in the associated trail running race on the Saturay morning (details here) which will be led by David Sexton. It's only a 10k, so even if you haven't done any trail running before, give it a go!

If you're planning to stay for the whole weekend, you will have to arrange your own accomodation. Some of us may be sleeping over in vans, but there is the Kendal YHA, reserved parking at Kendal. Check the Visitor Information section for more acommodation options, and keep in touch witht he ODL event leader so we can coordinate.
