Join Outdoorlads for a fun day out on the river gently paddling down the Wye from Ross-on-Wye to Symonds Yat
The day starts in Symonds Yat where we'll get a safety briefing and getting kitted out with buoyancy aids, paddles and dry bags. We'll then get driven to Ross-on-Wye where we'll take our two-man canoes into the water for a 12-mile paddle back to Symonds Yat.
Don't worry there's no rapids here...it should be a very gentle paddle following the flow of the river with some nice things to see along the way. No crocodiles sadly, but we might see otters and wild boar (admittedly swans and ducks are much more likely). If we're on time we can stop at a pub for lunch or a drink (not included in price) before we arrive back for 4pm.
This is a full day out on the river with an early start - we need to be there at 08.15 for the safety briefing at 08.30 - so you might want to consider staying nearby the night before. There's also a walk happening nearby on the Sunday - Check out Cinderford Pride.
