Due to work commitments, postponing. New date soon!
Have you ever thought about becoming an OutdoorLads walk leader? Like the idea but not sure what it's all about? We'd like to see if we can help.
Join Neil (Lowland and Hill Walk Leader & NNAS Bronze trainer) and Bryan (Mountain Walk Leader) for a web chat where you can find out more about volunteering for OutdoorLads as a walk leader.
Perhaps you would like to lead walks, but want to find out more about it first and ask lots of questions? Want to find out more about how you can learn (or re-learn) the basic navigation skills required? Been thinking about it for ages and now have some time on your hands to find out more?
What will the web chat cover?
- What types of walks are there?
- What's involved in the assessment?
- How do I apply?
- What are some of the things i'll need to know?
- Do I need any equipment?
- Some ideas of things to look into in your spare time
- Questions, questions, questions... ? Golden rule of this session - no question is a stupid question!!
Whether you know a lot, a bit, or really not very much at all, Neil and Bryan will offer up some advice, talk about their experiences and be on hand to answer any questions you have.
This web chat will be hosted via Zoom. Details / link will be shared near the date
What to bring
Note pad, pen, cup of tea and as many questions you'd like answered. You are welcome to share questions in advance if you'd like them asked for you.
