Kick off 2019's Munro bagging with a walk up Beinn Chabhair (translated from Gaelic as the Hill of the Hawk) from the Drovers Inn at Inverarnan.

Our route will follow the Ben Glas burn upstream before striking upwards onto the rugged and rocky NW ridge of the mountain to reach its summit at 3061 ft (933 m). If conditions are clear, we should be rewarded with some fine views over Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. Returning by the same route the total distance will be around 9 miles (14 km).

This is an relatively easy hill to climb in summer, but a bit more challenging at this time of year, so you should come fully prepared for winter conditions. We aim to be finished the walk before dark, but if you have a head-torch it would be a good idea to bring it just in case.
