A leisure walk around the renown Harrogate Stray. Harrogate is a spa town just outside Leeds, West Yorkshire. Harrogate is unusual for the local area in that in many ways it is a piece of high end London transferred to the North of England, certainly in relation to its general atmosphere and property prices.
The Stray is a large area of manicured greenland in the centre of Harrogate where people come to run and promenade and paeso.
We will walk around the stray enjoying the highlights which I think includes The Prince of Wales Mansions a high victorian ornate building.
After our walk around the Stray which is about 2/3 miles we have the opportunity of retiring to Betty's Tea Rooms for some tea and cake.Betty's is popular especially with foreign tourists so if it is busy we could relocate to an alternate venue. Betty's is a vintage British tea room offering high quality teas and cakes at a price.
