Join us as we bag a couple of elusive Southern Highland peaks from Glen Dochart.

The Munros in question are Sgiath Chuil (921m) and Meall Glas (959m) - tucked almost out of sight between Glen Lochay to the north and Glen Dochart to the south and can be climbed from either glen. We'll be tackling them by the slightly shorter 10 mile circular route from the latter.

Although neither rank amongst the highest Munros (falling at 199th and 270th in the tables) there is around 300m of steep descent between the two peaks, so not to be underestimated as a challenging mountain day!

If we are blessed with good visibility, the summits should afford some fine panoramic views in all directions - the Glen Lyon hills to the north, Loch Tay and the Lawers range to the east, the mighty Ben More and Crianlarich mountains to the south as well as the Tyndrum hills to the west.
