Finding Stanton in the Peak: 2 Rivers, 3 Hills & 3 Estates

5 places left
This circular walk follows paths within Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Stanton Hall Estates.
Just over half the distance is along made-up tracks and paths within the estates. With some short stretches of road-walking and a quiet country lane leading towards Stanton Moor.
Our lunch spot will take in views of Haddon Hall from above!
There is a cafe at the carpark on our return.
I am leading a second walk starting from the same location on Sunday that will take in views of a different part of the Chatsworth Estate. If you want to do both walks and stay in the area then I can suggest booking in at Eyam YHA which is just a short drive away. For those staying in Eyam, we could enjoy an evening meal together at the local pub - just message me if you intend to do this.
All photos by Finding Nemo - taken Early February 2018. The views will be far nicer in April!
What to bring
Comfortable walking shoes with good grip are advised as some of the terrain will be rocky or uneven.
