Ferry Across the Mersey - Liverpool, Seacombe, New Brighton, Moreton
Don't be put off if the event is full, sign up for it and you'll go on the waiting list, then if someone cancels you will get a place. We usualy tell everyone on the waiting list to come anyway, and today (13th April) we increased the event capacity to allow everyone on the waiting list at that point to attend, so that's up to 33 now.
This is your chance to sail on the world famous Ferry Across the Mersey. We will meet at the Liverpool Pier Head Terminal, catch the ferry to Seacombe and then walk along the promenade to New Brighton with magnificent views of the River Mersey and the Liverpool skyline. Along the way there may be time to call at The Magazine, one of the oldest pubs on the Wirral with its building dating back to 1759 (www.the-magazine-hotel.co.uk).
On arrival at new Brighton we will turn westwards and walk along the Marine Promenade, past the marine lake and onto the coastal path. We will then turn inland and walk round the edge of a housing estate before joining the River Birket cycleway. We head towards Moreton station where we will catch a train back to Liverpool.
For those who want we can stay in Liverpool and go for a meal.
You will need to bring some money for the Ferry (£5) and the train from Moreton to Liverpool (about £3.50).

What to bring
Good walking boots/trainers and waterproofs are essential.
Food & drink
Bring a packed lunch and drinks.
We will be stopping for a drink at a local pub at about 12.30 and there are shops and cafes in new Brighton if you don't want to bring any food with you.
