Join me for a relaxed walk along the estuary, walking through the beautiful villages of Topsham, Exton and Lympstone.

We'll be starting just south of Exeter at 11. We will then be walking along the estuary towards Exmouth, following the railway line for the most part.

We pass several pubs / tea rooms to choose from should the group wish to take a break. We also walk right past Lympstone Commando Marine Base - we may stop to admire the estuary views around here. ;)

Once in Exmouth, we shall be visiting Krispies - the award winning fish and chip shop that specialises in battered chips. If you haven’t tried them then you’re missing out - amazing! They also do ordinary fish and chips for those feeling less adventurous.

We'll then get the train back from Exmouth to Newcourt (approximately 15 minutes and £4). The same train will take you back to Exeter Central/Exeter St Davids should you wish.

The walk will be roughly 8 miles and will take us about two and a half hours without any stops so plenty of time for a tea/coffee stop and then chips at the end. There are approximately two trains an hour returning from Exmouth throughout the afternoon.
