Join us for a walk along the east London canals and docks. This is the perfect walk to explore a new part of London and make new friends if you are visiting for the AGM Meeting!
Starting from Limehouse Basin, surrounded by elegant and charming docks, we will walk alongside Regent's canal through the quirky and vibrant Mile End, exploring graffiti, brick warehouses and industrial architecture.
At the end of the walk we will stop at the Approach Tavern for a lunch break.
Start point: Limehouse DLR Station
End Point: Bethnal Green Working Men's Club
The walk should last approximately 1 Hour. We will be walking on Footpaths and Towpaths. No particular footwear needed.
(Please note this walk is designed to end at the Outdoorlads' AGM Meeting, we will aim to arrive on time or before 13.30)
A variety of hearty healthy options are available at the Pub, if you have any requirements please do let me know so we can check in advance.
See here for the link to the AGM itself and the other events we have on that weekend.
What to bring
The weather in September can be a bit mixed, so although we will be walking through built up areas, a couple of layers would be recommended, along with a rainproof coat.
We will be walking on footpaths and towpaths - so please wear comfortable footwear, but this does not require any specialist equipment.
Food & drink
There will be a lunch break in a Pub at the end of the walk.
