Come for an expedition through some of the best glens in the central highlands of Scotland.
Passing through Glen Nevis, across the fringe of Rannoch Moor, skirting Ben Alder and the shores of Loch Ericht this is a rewarding journey.
You must have a good level of fitness before attempting this activity due to the nature of what is involved. This is a 40 mile walk through remote areas of the highlands, over which you must carry all of your own equipment, tent and food. If you have any concerns you must consult your doctor before signing up to this event.
Day 1
We meet up at Fort William railway station and head south for Glen Nevis. The glen narrows at its head before opening out at Steall falls and we walk east following the Water of Nevis ending up near to the bothy at Meannanach for the first nights camping.
Day 2
Our route heads for Loch Treig and then uphill towards the railway, which we follow to Corrour. The railway here heads SE and we go NE alongside Loch Ossian. After passing Corrour Shooting Lodge our path climbs towards Bealach Dubh, the highest point on our walk at 722m, which takes us round the north side of Ben Alder and down towards Culra bothy which is our planned area of camping for night 2.
Day 3
Our shortest day takes us past Loch Pattack and across to Loch Ericht where we pick up an estate road alongside the loch which brings us out just south of Dalwhinnie railway station.

Food & drink
You will need to provide your own food for the three days, note that you will need to carry all your food throughout the duration of the event.
The meals that you need to plan for are from lunch on the Friday through to lunch on the Sunday.
You will need to carry water - up to 4 litres is recommended, depending on how much you require for cooking. There are a couple of locations where water bottles can be refilled from mountain streams - this is at your own risk.
