Do you have a preference for Camping? A weakness for Cruising? Or a penchant for Dick? If so this weekend is for you as we celebrate all things Carry On. We will be staying at Truleigh Hill – a large recently refurbished hostel which is in a much better state of repair than the Elsbels Palace Hotel in Carry On Abroad!
During the daytime, we hope to offer at least two walks exploring the South Downs with at least one walk taking in the Devil’s Dyke – a spectacular valley which according to legend was dug by the Devil to drown the parishioners of the Weald!!!! Over the weekend there will be several activities themed around the Carry On films, cumulating with fancy dress on the Saturday evening. Take inspiration from the films to come dressed as your favourite character – will it be Dr Kilmore or Matron from the medical films? Or perhaps the Rumpo Kid, Citizen Bidet or even one of the Devils in skirts from the historical films.
So sign up for an innuendo fuelled weekend that will go down in infamy (Infamy Infamy – they’ve all got it in for me).
What to bring
Please bear in mind that the weather here can be unpredictable and it could be very cold and windy. There may even be snow and the weather can change rapidly so be prepared! You will need a towel, washing kit and clothes to wear about the hostel.
Don't forget to bring a fancy dress costume for Saturday night.

Food & drink
Friday night: Please bring at least one item for the buffet. Don't go overboard. This should be to feed a maximum of 2 to 3 people.
Saturday breakfast: Included in the event cost.
Saturday lunch: Please bring a packed lunch.
Saturday dinner: Included in the event cost.
Sunday breakfast: Included in the event cost.
Tea & coffee: Included throughout the weekend.
Other drinks: Please bring your own.
