A 14km walk with 300m of ascent.

This is one of the events organised as part of BIG Summer Camp 2021

A slightly later start. A relaxed 14km from the thatched cottages of Amberley, through the deer park of Parham House and returning up along the South Downs over Rackham Hill.  At 14km it is a reasonable length and should take 4-5 hours including lunch.

The route is viewable here, you will need a paid subscription to OS Maps.

Parham House was originally owned by the Monastery of Westminster and granted to Robert Palmer by King Henry VIII in 1540.  We won't be going in the house, but will be walking past the front door.  There will be a pub at the end of the walk.
