BSumC: New Friends Social (Friday)

This event is intended for attendees at BIG Summer Camp 2021.

Is Big Summer Camp your very first OutdoorLads event? Or are you an existing member arriving on your own? Either way, you are welcome to come along to this social gathering, where you'll find a warm welcome and a whole bunch of new mates waiting for you. It will also be a great chance to chat to some of the leaders and other active members about the group, the camp and upcoming events.

We are well aware that arriving at any OutdoorLads event for the first time can be daunting, and even more so when it's one of our big events like Summer Camp. However, as the saying goes, "strangers are just friends waiting to happen". So, once you've pitched your tent and settled in, come along and join us for a drink with others in the same boat as you.

We'll meet in the right hand side of the bar area on the night, which will be well sign-posted on site. 

Everyone is welcome - you don't have to be a brand new member or on your first event, just wanting to meet new people! If you can't make it from the start, come along whenever you can :)

IMPORTANT! - Participation Statement

You MUST complete a Participation Statement in addition to booking your event space before attending an OutdoorLads event. You only need to complete this Participation Statement once, not for each event you attend.

COVID-19 – IMPORTANT, Please read the following before you sign up to this event:

• Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms, even if they are extremely mild, or who lives or is in a support bubble with someone showing symptoms, is asked not to attend. This is in line with the government’s coronavirus advice.
• You must also immediately self-isolate and not attend the event if you or someone in your household or support bubble shows coronavirus symptoms or tests positive. You can find the NHS self-isolation guidance here.
• OutdoorLads’ Covid-19 Policy for hostel and BIG events applies to this event. On arrival, we will need to see evidence that you are fully vaccinated, or have registered a negative lateral flow test in the last 48 hours, or have Covid-19 antibodies.
