BSC25: Betws-y-Coed and Llyn Elsi walk (Sat)
15 people attending
10 places left
Join Andrew for this relatively short 8km walk from Betws-y-Coed to Llyn Elsi and back.
We'll meet at the camp site, and drive from there to Betws-y-Coed - we'll sort out car pooling at the meeting point. I'll allow a little time in Betws-y-Coed to grab lunch from a shop.
Betws-y-coed is the gateway to Eryri National Park and is surrounded on all sides by stunning woodlands hiding a multitude of reservoirs.
Llyn Elsi is one of those reservoirs and supplies water for Betws-y-coed. It is one of the smaller lakes in this area and provides a nice walk around that isn't too strenuous. From Betws-y-coed we will make our way up to the lake, circle it and then make our way back through the woods to complete the circle.
At the end of the walk, I will head to a cafe or pub and people are welcome to join me, or you can look around Betws-y-Coed or head straight back to the campsite.
IMPORTANT! - Participation Statement
You MUST complete a Participation Statement, here, in addition to booking your event space before attending an OutdoorLads event. You only need to complete this Participation Statement once, not for each event you attend.

What to bring
Walking boots and a waterproof jacket will be essential. Otherwise, dress sensibly for the weather. I suggest that you bring suncream and insect repellant.
Food & drink
We will stop for lunch about half way around, so you'll need something to drink and something to eat. I'll allow a very short time in Betws-y-Coed for you to grab something from the Spar.
