BSC2017: Outdoor Climbing

This year we are pleased to be able to offer a team of experienced outdoor climbing leaders in Nick, Wilco and Paul. Between them, they will provide a day of sport, single-pitch trad and/or multi-pitch climbing. The precise nature of the day will depend on the number of members who sign up, their previous experience and the weather on the day, The multi-pitch option will only be available to a small number of more experienced climbers. If you are interested in trying outdoor climbing, sign up now and the leaders will liaise with you as to the options. If you are unsure whether this is for you, drop the leaders a message and they'll be happy to advise.
What to bring
You will need to bring your personal climbing gear if you have it: shoes, harness, helmet and belay. If you haven't got any of these items, ODL can provide a harness and helmet. If you have any sport or trad gear and ropes, please bring those along as well if you can so that we can ensure we’re not short, and hopefully to give us a bit of flexibility on the day.
Obviously we’ll be at the mercy of the weather so waterproofs are always handy, though if it's horrifically wet or windy from the start we’ll review the event and perhaps head to the local indoor centre instead, or try and arrange another activity.
