Join us for a day of walking through the gorgeous countryside and chocolate box villages on the northernmost fringes of the Cotswolds. Starting at Honeybourne in the south eastern corner of Worcestershire, we will cross the runways of the old WWII airfield into Gloucestershire and the pretty village of Willersey.
A steady climb from there takes us up to Broadway Tower. The folly was built in 1799 and has since been the home of artists William Morris and Edward Burne-Jones among others. On a clear day you can apparently see 16 counties - bonus points if you can name them all!
After a stop for lunch (and a rummage through the twee Cath Kidson-filled shops) we'll turn north towards Bretforton. Here we can enjoy a pint at the traditional Fleece Inn, one of a handful of pubs owned by the National Trust, or the nearby imaginatively-named Thatched Tavern and head back to our start point.
What to bring
As ever make sure you bring a waterproof jacket and wear sturdy boots. The ground is on the whole pretty firm and even.
Food & drink
You'll need to bring a packed lunch and water, although there'll be some shops just before our lunch stop too.
We will also be stopping for a drink at one or more of the beautiful pubs on our route.
