The Brecon Fans Race Weekend, 10 miles and 3.5 miles

Two classic fell races in the Brecon Beacons, with free beer and food, and a village fête for good measure.

We'll be camping too - but there are other places to stay - look on the Brecon Fans website - www.breconfans.org.uk/ for full details. 

Day 1: Fan y Big Horseshoe Race 

A perfect 10-mile skyline route, starting and finishing in lovely Llanfrynach. More details here.

Day 2: Pen y Fan Race

A "short" race up the highest mountain in southern Britain, packing nearly 2000 feet of ascent into 3.5 miles. More details here

Want to give it a try?

If you can walk you can run... whilst there's a fair amount of elevation in both races they are both possible with a small amount of training.

There are no cut-offs on either race, so you can take your time - it's a fete weekend so they'll be big mix of abilities entering.
