13 km (8 miles) with 781m of ascent

The Brack (787m) is a fine rugged Corbett in the Arrochar Alps situated to the west of Loch Long.

Our route will take us in an 8-mile anti-clockwise circuit with a steep ascent from Glen Croe, returning along part of the Cowal Way taking us through the wooded Coilessan Glen.

If time allows and we make good progress, there is the option to take in Cnoc Choinnich (764m) on the return route -a short detour adding on a couple of miles. This hill only became a Corbett following a resurvey in 2016.

The last couple of miles of the walk will take us along the shore of Loch Long and may be in dusk, so please bring a head torch if you have one.
