A chance to get together to discuss the much acclaimed guide to overcoming gay shame by Matthew Todd. This book has gained huge popularity amongst the gay bi and trans community. The book explores how growing up in a heteronormative world has left its mark on us, tackling the concept of internalised shame and the wounded inner child to rationalise how we see ourselves and treat others within our community. There is an interesting interview with Matthew Todd by Karl Knight on his YouTube channel in episode 1 of his podcast, the interview starts at about 57.30 and is worth a listen he talks extensively about straight jacket which back then had just been published.
