We will meet at Billingshurst Station and walk west through fairly ordinary housing estates, playing field and a path along the railway to emerge into the country side to met the Wey-South Path.  This first stretch meanders around the River Arun below Wisborough Green with a mixture of flatlands and woods stopping at Pallington Bridge for our packed lunch.

After lunch we continue south and join a country lane at Pickhurst near Codmore Hill.  Passing some gallops we pass close behind Pulbrough Railway Station, continuing through Pulborough Plantation and crossing the A283 at the village of Stopham.  Here we will stop at the White Hart Inn at Stopham Bridge for some liquid refreshment http://www.whitehartpulborough.com/

After a pint/soft drink/bottle of gin we will continue south of Stopham on the Wey South Path, over the railway line (Health and Safety) and then across the A29 (double H&S). Briefly we'll follow the path of a roman road past Coldwaltham, cross the river Arun again (a familiar feature of this walk) then head due South across the Amberley Wild Brooks finally heading into Amberley village and then back to Amberley station where walk will offically end.  There is a nice pub (The Bridge Inn) near this station if the timing for the train back to Billingshurst allows (or just for the hell of it).
