A two night wild camp in the Ben Alder Forest area, from Dalwhinnie, this is a challenging event for which you need a good level for fitness and the ability to look after yourself in remote areas.
The aim of this trip is to take in a circuit of 6 Munros basing ourselves near the former Culra bothy.
Day 1 - walk along the shores of Loch Ericht into the Culra Bothy area, where we can find a suitable spot to camp. Total distance - 16km and 130m ascent.
Day 2 - a strenuous day taking in a circuit of 6 Munros in total - Ben Alder, Beinn Bheòil, Cairn Dearg, Geal Charn, Aonach Beag and Beinn Eibhinn. Total distance - 26km and 1900m ascent.
Day 3 - walk back out the way we came from Culra Bothy to Dalwhinnie. Total distance - 16km and 130 decent.

You’ll need to have the full range of outdoor wild camping kit - this can take a lot of research and shopping time if you don’t already have it;
This event is not suitable for dogs.
We are unlikely to receive phone signal.
If you’re unsure if this event is for you, or you need equipment support, then contact the leader by private message.
Please note that we will not be staying in the bothy, as it is locked due to asbestos.
