Barbon, the Big Boulders and a Brew Before the day walk

Join Stephen for a pre walk cuppa/snack at 10:30 at the Churchmouse Cafe in Barbon opposite the car park

Then at 11:30 we will set off for a 9 mile walk from the picturesque village of Barbon near Kirkby Lonsdale in Cumbria
The highlights of the walk will be -
• Walking through Barbon past the Church
• Walking through the woodlands of Barbondale
• Ascending up onto the fells above Barbon passing Bullpot Farm
• Going round Lower Barbon Fell with views down the Lune Valley, Cumbrian Fells and if its clear- out to The Irish Sea
• Dropping down from the fells and seeing the Art Installations by Andy Goldsworthy, which are big boulders enclosed in Sheepfolds

• Then walking through the grounds of Whelprigg Hall and back into the village
Then after head to the Barbon Inn for a post walk drink
NB - there is no public transport to Barbon - please consider car sharing/asking for a lift
