Come and join OutdoorLads for the Whitely Bay screening of The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour. There are two unique and entirely different film programmes showing in Whitley Bay in 2016 so you can come along to either or both shows (10 March & 11 March) for double the adventure. Most people come along to both evenings, but thats entirely up to you. Feel free to join us on one or both of the screenings.
The Banff Mountain Film Festival is one of the largest and most prestigious mountain festivals in the world. The “mothership” festival has been held each year since 1975 in Banff, Canada. The festival draws some of the world’s best film makers and accomplished outdoor heroes to celebrate adventure, the environment, mountain culture and the outdoors through film.
For this event you will need to book event tickets in advance online. Tickets are £13.50 per night plus booking fees and are available from http://www.eventim.co.uk/Tickets.html?affiliate=WBP&fun=erdetail&doc=er…. Don't worry about picking seats as the seating is unreserved.
To book on this event, book this OutdoorLads event and then buy a ticket from eventim for the Friday night screening on the 11th March. If you want to go to both evenings, book on this Outdoorlads event and also the one on the 10th (2 seperate OutdoorLads events) and then visit eventim to buy a ticket for both evenings. Make sure you get tickets for Whitley Bay on the correct evenings as this is also screening in other areas.
The official event trailer can be seen here https://youtu.be/4XGi18ql93Y
Whitley Bay is around 7 miles from Newcastle and there is a Metro Train that runs from Newcastle to Whitley Bay. If you are coming from out of town, why not make a long weekend of it and stay in Newcastle.
Tip - Make sure you enter the free prize draw that they usually have. They hold the prize draw in the interval and there are usually some good prizes! This can be entered at the stalls in the entrance near the bar area.
Following the event (and entirely optional), there will be the opportunity to continue the evening and enjoy a few beers either locally or back in Newcastle.
